Monte Alverno Staff Descriptions

Fr. KEITH CLARK been a Capuchin since 1958 and a priest since 1965. He spent the first twenty years of his ministry in the Capuchin Province’s initial formation program, conducting retreats and workshops part time.  For the next twenty years he was on the staff of Saint Lawrence Seminary as an administrator and teacher and spiritual director. During this time he occasionally gave retreats, especially for groups of priests.  He arrived at Monte Alverno to serve as director in 2005.         kclark@thecapuchins.org

 

Fr. ART COONEY was born in New London, Wisconsin, ordained  in 1976, and has served in parish and retreat ministry internationally.  He has served as a missionary in Nicaragua, is fluent in Spanish  and is available for Hispanic retreat ministry.  He has also been and will continue to be active in charasmatic and healing retreats.           fr_art@hotmail.com
 

Br. JOHN KOCIAN joined the Capuchins in 1957 and after his years  of formation in Michigan and Wisconsin, has served in domestic ministry at St. Felix Friary in Huntington, Indiana, and the House of Prayer  in Madison, Wisconsin. For the past 18 years, he has ministered  in many ways here at Monte Alverno. He appreciates the surrounding  beauty of nature and the reflection of God it calls forth.
 

Ms JANE KOLOSSO joined the Retreat Center Staff in May, 2005, as  the administrative assistant. She brings a varied background  to Monte Alverno.  She was a Business Manager in an area parish,  worked in various positions within local financial institutions, and was an elementary school principal and junior high teacher.  She hopes her presence adds to the hospitality of the Retreat Center.  Jane says, "Monte Alverno speaks of the gentleness  of God as soon as you drive in.  I consider it a privilege to work here.   jkolosso@thecapuchins.org
 

Mr. JIM RITCHIE says that being on staff at Monte Alverno has brought a new meaning to him and his family. He is director of maintenance  and supervisor of housekeeping and kitchen personnel.  He takes  great pride in caring for the buildings and grounds.  He says, I feel the love of God that has been passed on to me and my family. Fr. ADRIAN STAEHLER took on the Capuchin-Franciscan life in 1959 and  was ordained a priest in 1967. After teaching for nearly 18 years,  he entered full-time preaching ministry in 1988. Since then, he has been conducting parish renewal missions, preaching retreats and days  of recollection, and providing spiritual direction for individuals  and for directed retreats. He considers himself privileged to have  been participating in the spiritual program here at Monte Alverno since the year 2000.        hadrianus@juno.com
 

Sr. MARLENE WEBER is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual  Adoration whose headquarters is in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Prior to coming to Monte Alverno, she served on the leadership team in her  religious community. She also worked on the Campus Ministry staff  of Purdue University, on the faculty and the administration of Viterbo University in La Crosse, and in parish ministry and elementary education.  She began her ministry with the Monte Alverno staff in September of 2002.       mwfspa@new.rr.com
